Up To Date Interview Questions With Model Answers
Why pharmacy? Why us? What are the challenges of pharmacy? What did you learn from your work experience? What is the course structure of this pharmacy school? What surprised you? Why not medicine? What is the difference between pharmacy and medicine? Questions about team work, leadership, how you cope with stress, your strengths and weaknesses, your greatest mistake and your greatest challenge.

11:00 to 12:30

Knowledge Station
We cover numeracy, fractions, units, long division, algebra, conversions, calculations, chemistry questions which were asked last year and more.

12:30 to 13:30

We cover situational questions that have been asked at recent interviews. For example, dealing with an angry person, difficult colleagues, situational judgement tests. A girl comes into the pharmacy wanting to pick up a prescription for her grandmother. What would you do? Dispensing the contraceptive pill to under 16s, how you feel about testing on animals, your views on rationing of drugs and who should be given them. How to behave in a group interview: we cover questions asked in last year’s group interview. Questions include: ethical dilemmas, personal skills, communication and knowledge questions.

Hot Topics
Questions asked last year with model answers, matters currently affecting pharmacy, the future of pharmacy, current issues and hot topics. Where do you see yourself in ten years time, the different areas of pharmacy, how to answer awkward questions, etc. Students will discuss the most recent issues and changes in the NHS. We will show students how to structure and how to demonstrate an understanding of the arguments for and against an issue, how to evaluate the merits and faults in each argument and how to demonstrate tolerance for an opposing point of view.
